Brent oil falls below $52 per barrel, 1st time since Dec 1

MOSCOW, Mar 9 (PRIME) -- The price of the Brent oil blend fell 2.69% below $52 per barrel for the first time since December 1, 2016 to U.S. $51.67 per barrel as of 1:58 p.m., Moscow time on Thursday.

The oil price decrease followed release by the U.S. Energy Department that indicated a commercial oil reserves surge.
